Taliban activities shot and killed a young couple trying to elope. They killed them with rifles keeping as witness a crowd of lawless, militant controlled region. The woman and the man were accused of immoral acts by the militants and the council of conservative clerics and decided that they be shot dead. In the dangerous regions of Afghanistan, Taliban fighters function as shadow governments. The militant leaders run a government with a pseudo court system. They make their own reasons and also do their judgments. The Taliban movement puts in place harsh social rules that forbade unmarried men and women to talk or meet in public.
